Default End of Week 1

And I feel GREAT! I think Im happier about how Im feeling than the

8 pound loss!!!

I was worried about that because I went off plan on Easter. I think it may have slowed down my loss for the week, but Im VERY happy with the loss so far

Woo hoo! Congrats for the 8 lbs!

Next time though, it would be better if you planed your eating during holidays, so that you can stay on track. Learning how to adapt your WOE to real life situations will make the difference between you being one of those folks who lost 30 lbs on Atkins.... "but gained it all back, darn it!"... or being of those who were not only able to reach goal, but also maintain it. Don't use the fact that you got away with your cheat this time as an excuse to repeat your behavior -- you will only be setting yourself up for failure.

If you are bored with your food choices, you should move to OWL immediately after Induction. This will allow you to introduce foods you might miss, without having to cheat to have them. You should also move to OWL if you do not have a lot to lose or do not have a high degree of metabolic resistance. Reading Chapter 13 in DANDR will help you take the decision that's best for you.

Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!"

My slip up during Easter was a [now recognized] trigger - my sister. Im learning to deal with her without comfort food. I havent had any other issues other than her. I know she's not to blame, it was my own behaviour, but Im learning to change that.

Oh boy... I'm glad you figured that out.
