Default During Induct - Pickled Eggs With beet juice?

I see that pickled eggs are okay.
Im getting ready to make some right now, but im pretty sure the beets are not allowed. Can i still use the juice in the can to color the eggs reddish ?

Can of beets says 6g sugar.
I assuming the sugar is in the beets and not the colored water in the cans.

So anyways it says pickled eggs are okay, but it does not say white only or not the red ones, ya know.

Boy Ted, I don't think I have ever had a pickled egg and beets are not high on my list either, but if you check the list of ingredients on the beet can and if there is no added sugar, then I would assume that the juice is just that, the water left from cooking. But if there is any added sugar, I would be very very careful.
A cup of canned beets has over 12 grams of carbs so I think I wouldn't use them for anything

Beets are not allowed on induction and not for a long time after. I now make pickled eggs with the juice off of hot pickled veggies (sugar free) like the pickled peppers or cauliflower.

I also make my own pickling brine with vinegar, salt, pickling spices like cinnamon sticks, mustard seed, celery seed, turmeric and some hot pepper flakes. They turn out a golden yellow and taste quite nice.

If you make your pickled eggs from a recipe not including the beet juice or any sugar then you could always add some red food colouring if the eggs 'have' to be red all the pickled eggs I have seen in UK are more of a white colour in a slightly yellowy liquid - never seen red ones.

The coloring is just water and salt and beets in a can.
The water is dyed red from the beets.

But here is what i did , they soaked in that for about 3 hours, i emptied the vinegar water and beet juice then i added 2 cups of fresh vinegar and spices.

So it kept the red color hopefully this is legal and wont have an effect.
I honestly feel that the juice has nothing to do with the actual beet but i think this alternative will work.

Mmmmmmmm...I do miss my purple pickled eggs! I grow the beets and make homemade pickled beets. I make 3 to 5 dozen for our family reunions. I usually eat a couple.

Yes, people actually eat them...I don't eat them personally -- when we were in the lower grades in school they would serve them in the cafeteria and the principal would stand over us until we ate them all -- beets and pickled eggs....to this day I can't eat them!

Sniff... yes, we people do eat those things. I think they are very pretty. My skinny sister loves mine, so I make two dozen when she comes down. She eats every one of them in the week she is here.

Have you never had pickled beets? Yummy! The pickled eggs don't taste like beetroot, mostly because of the vinegar and spices.

I do have a sister-in-law who pickles the eggs first, then makes deviled eggs from them. I don't like them like that.
