Unhappy Induction - Drink Help

Hi all,

I,m on my 3rd day of induction but I don,t drink tea or coffee and cannot find any drinks or cordial without Aspartam in them!
I live in Australia and was wondering if anybody knows of a drink that is ok for induction?
Honestly, after three days of just drinking water, I dont know if i can keep drinking it for another 11!

Thanks for any suggestions you may have,

J

Drinking water actually gets easier with time. You could also add a slice of lemon or cucumber to it if you're looking for a slightly different taste.

I'm sure you'll get suggestions for sweet drinks though. If you decide to have them, be careful not to go over your sweetener limit -- 3 servings per day, where 1 serving of sweetener is 8 oz of drink. As we have seen on the Board, many folks experience a stall or a slowdown in their weight loss when consuming diet sodas, even if they are sweetened with one of the "legal" sweeteners. Since you will not know what your weight loss rate would have been without them, you have to ask yourself whether it is worth the risk of trading some pounds for a sip.

Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!"

Thanks Georgina.

I actually love water and drink litres of it a day ( I also live in the Tropics and that doubles the thirst rate!), but am thirstier more than usual.

I was just looking for one different drink a day , something to look forward to and maybe a good thirst quencher!

hi jay -- do any of the retailers there carry Dr Pepper/Snapple group products? We have soda here called Diet Rite (made by the above company) that has no sodium, no calories and is sweetened with Splenda. It comes in several flavors .... look next time with you go shopping.

I drink 150 ounces of water everyday -- I only drink a couple cups of decaf coffee in the morning then fill up my 30 ounce jug and start drinking. I agree with Georgiana float slices of lemon, lime, cucumber - I've heard some people buy the Torani or DiVinci brand sugar free syrups and add a small amount to their water for flavor. I haven't tried it but if it helps it's ok by me!!

Good luck on your journey!!

Thanks Carole,
I haven't heard of the above drinks but you have given me an idea!
There is an online shop in Melbourne that is for ex pat Americans, I will go look there.

Thanks again,
J
