Default FLAXSEED POWDER IN MOCK DANISH???

DOES THIS HELP TO GIVE IT A MORE BREAD-LIKE TEXTURE??? I WAS TOLD THAT UNPROCESSED WHEAT BRAN DOES, BUT I DON'T HAVE ANY OF THAT IN THE KITCHEN. I DO HAVE FLAXSEED POWER (GROUND FLAXSEED), WILL THIS WORK ensive

yep flax will sub for flour in there and is the better low carb choice too.

1-2T should be all you need.

mix it with the cream cheese and spices so it is wet before it hits the eggs and allow it to sit ofr 1-2 min so it developes the infamous flax slime before you cook it.

I wouldn't call it "bread-like" because that brings to mind images of cake or crusty french bread.

The fiber supplements will give the mock danish a "sturdier" texture. In other words, it adds body to the danish because the danish is just egg and cream cheese.

I agree with both 2Big and not2late -- flax meal works just fine. I was the one who posted about the wheat bran -- I just prefer the taste over flax, but I have used flax many times. Enjoy!
