Do the numbers on your ticker mean that you want to lower your BMI from 22.8 to 18.4? If this is correct, then I believe you are overestimating the amount of weight you have to lose. Your body "knows" what a healthy weight is and will resist going much below that.

I don't know what are the ingredients in some of the foods listed in your FitDay, but you have many days when your calories are below 1000. That is way too low and all you are doing is slowing down your metabolism and possibly damaging your general health.

What size are you wearing now? I think a dress size is a much better indicator of how much weight you have to lose. Also, what is your goal size? Did you take measurements too? What is your exercise routine?

It doesn't look like you are really losing that slowly, you can only expect to lose 10% of what you want to lose in induction.. That is really pretty close to where you are and TOM has an influence,, Keep your chin up and keep at it..

Good Luck

Your ticker says you've lost 4.4 lbs. Since you only had 26 to lose, that's ~17% of the weight you had to lose in the beginning, so you did better than average (5-10% being the average).

Exercise is a mandatory part of Atkins, so get going with that.

Increase your calories too. And I'd say you should also move to OWL since you do not have a very high metabolic resistance (your results are skewed because of TOM) and you don't have a lot to lose either.

I have just corrected my ticker...I have always been 62kg so i started the ticker with that but when i weighted during the first week i was 60kg already ,granted it was 3 days after i started but i seriously do not believe i lost 2 kg in 3 days...so i have now corrected it to that weight ...this means i have lost nothing!!!

http://fitday.com/fitness/PublicJournals.html?Owner=panteranegra

i see problems and things you can fix

your carbohydrates 19.9 and 7.3 are fiber so thats only 12.6 net carbs you can eat 20 net carbs a day

and yes dont eat Atkin shakes or Bars they can be stallers and for some people any sugar alcohals up to 50% can be absorbed and turned into net carbs so avoid all sugar alcohals as well

also dont eat aspartame

also dont eat Chantilly Cream i dont really know what that stuff is

try eating 65% fat 30% protein 3-5% carbs

try eating more calories

i remmber when i started the Atkins diet it took me awhile too to get the energy boost

try and do things that will help speed up your metabolism like exercise and heavy weight lifting

try and eat more eggs you cant go wrong with them they are 61% fat and give loads of energy try eating atleast 3-4 for breakfast

post more of your food menus im sure i could find something els

and ya i do think you could lose 2kg in 3 days but alot of it was water

also check this out

http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...tml#post952959 (The defense system of the fat cell)

it explains how fat cells can hold unto water for along time so thats why you can lose 2 kg in 1-2 days and not lose any kg for over 12 days

edit: oh ya your goal weight is not that far off.. if you only got 10 more kg to lose before you reach your healthy weight then it could easily take a very long time

when i started the Atkins diet i was loseing 1 pound a day for about the first month but then as i got closer to my goal weight it got slower and slower and slower thats normal

but one thing also to add my weight had 100% stoped at 230 pounds but then i started going to the gym and lifting heavy weights i must have lost another 40 pounds of fat and gained 40 pounds of muscle by going to the gym so once you reach your healthy weight in order to look better you gotta go to the gym trust me you will look Amazing after a year and a half at the gym as long as you work hard all your muscles and not just cardio

Uau ziggy !!! thanks very much...that was very enlightening!
chantilly cream is whipped cream already preapared ...i will be doing my own from now onwards with splenda...i dont use aspartame unless its hidden but im gettingbetter at checking the labels...i am really scared of eating more carbs than i should...how did you figure out that i was eating only 12.6 net carbs?..what about xylitol is thata forbiden sweetner i have baked pancakes with it because it has 0 carbs......should i stop..the pancakes are induction friendly...i will stop with the bar and shake ...its just because some mornings i m rushing to takem my daughter to school and go to work....yes you are so right i need to start exercising asap...so you dont think there is nothing too wrong with my metabolism?
xxx thanks so much i needed something that concisexx

Default Re: not working

i figured out you were eating that many net carbs from one of your older fitday.com sheets xD

i would avoid xylitol too and just use splenda

baked pancakes what is that? alot of Atkin products like shakes and bars and bake mixes are not good for induction even though they say they are ok for induction they for alot of people cause weight loss stalls so its better to stick to as natural foods as possible

your metabolism should become good over time on the atkins diet like everyone elses

also dont eat soy its very unhealthy stuff

and use butter instead of margin

margin has omega 6 polyunsaturated vegetable oils which cause heart disease

also for exercise the cardio you already know how to do that properly but for other exercise for your muscles like abbs, arms, chest, back, legs etc you should get someone to help show you how to do all the exercises properly so you can safely work out all your muscles

Atkins diet + good hard body building exercises and the fat should fly off

also sorry for the late reply i forgot to check here xD
