Default pumpkin question

So how many carbs does pumpkin have? The book says 9.9 for a half cup the print out from the list here says 2.4 for a 1/4 cup. Another place says one cup has 12 carbs then yet another says one cup has 19 carbs. I can't read the label cause my daughter took it off but I can tell you it's wallmart brand pumpkin. Not pie mix but straight pumpkin. I was looking to have a half cup with butter and pie spice with my salmon for lunch but I don't want to go over my carbs. Should I just wait and buy another can tomorrow so I can go by their carb count oon the label?

Is it Libby's canned pumpkin? That one has:

Serving size: 1/2 cup

Calories: 40
Fat: 0.5 g
Sodium: 5 mg
Carbohydrates: 9 g
Dietary fiber: 5 g
Net carbohydrates: 4 g
Protein: 2 g

It's generic. I think to be on the safe side I will count it as 5 net carbs. Yesterday the only veggie I had was salad and I had a few eggs so my carbs were more eggs than veggies so I am trying to find ways to get more veggie carbs. Thanks I wasn't sure how many carbs were actually in it. Tomorrow I will buy more and write it down so next time I know. My two year old loves to pull labels off of everything.

There are actually 4 carbs in 1/2 cup, not 10. Don't forget that we are counting net carbs on Atkins, not total carbs.

The generic pumpkin that I eat has 6 carbs per half cup (10 carbs - 4 fibre). This is about the same as you get if you enter it on fitday.

I think pumpkin is absolutely great stuff. It has lots of fibre and the nutritional value is phenomenal. (beta carotene, potassium, vitamin a, c)

Because veggies carbs="good" carbs. You are allowed 20(net carbs)/day on induction, and half should be from veggies. So if you want to use 20 carbs, you NEED 10 NET carbs from veggies
