| No I would not worry too much about the percentages. If what you are doing works for you that is just great. I think one reason your carbs come out as low is that you are eating a fair amount of calories so it is just a proportion thing. If you are losing - getting your veggies - drinking water - taking supplements - feeling good, then keep going.

| Hi Norman I would say that your percentages are fine. I don't think that the percentages are mentioned in the DANDR book, but were arrived at by a later analysis of 'typical' induction menus. I have treated them as a guideline to aim for, but not set in stone. Technically, induction levels for carbs should be up to 20 - you mention 24 some days? Although did I read in another post of yours that you are doing an awful lot of exercise? 24 is more like a level one of OWL intake, but again, your average intake will probably work out OK, and you're dropping weight like billy-o! (You will probably get some more articulate answers shortly!) Back to the percentages - I'd say treat them as a guideline, but don't get hung up on them. When are you thinking of moving up to OWL anyway? CP Edited to say - Liv - I wasn't suggesting you are inarticulate - I was talking about my own ramblings! | Yup, the 24 grams was a fluke. I'm usually consume 10-15g. Yes I do work out very hard. Today I squated 6 sets for a total (reps multiplied by weight) of 52,140 lb. Then a similar treatment for dealifts right afterwards. This afternoon I did chest, shoulders and triceps with comparable weights. The squats took 21 minutes to complete. I usually bump up the reps, weights and shorten my time in the gym every day I workout. Tomorrow is cardio at the crack of dawn then back, traps, biceps and forearms in the afternoon. Thanks for your reply, I kinda figured out that the best wat to keep track is by the weekly mean: Thanks for your help! |

| Yep, I agree with the others - you're doing fine! The percentages are just a guideline.
