Cool getting ready for induction...

I am shooting for total induction by the 15th. I've just been working my way towards this as I would probably bail out if I went cold turkey into this. I will try to get that 2002 book. What I have learned about Atkins by a success story I saw at my new job that I started in March and from 1-2 other that I knew were on it. I would have never given this a 2nd thought until I saw those results and what they ate. I see the need to get better educated but in the mean time i'm making progress.

my current pre-induction diet: (I work 2nd shift)

Up at 10 am
1 12 oz water
2 lg cups coffee with H&H and splenda

1p
3 eggs, 2 slices cheese, & salsa
3 brown & serve sausages or spam
1 12 oz water and small tomatoe juice

3p
12 oz water

5p 1 lg cup coffee with powdered creamer (bad) and splenda

7p
work - salad bowl with 1/2 bag romaine, 5 grape tomatoes, 2 slices cheese plus salami, ham or chicken & Newmans reg dressing
Or
(2) 1 slice wheat bread with salami/cheese & mustard
1 12 oz water

snacks
1 slim jim
1 suger free jello
1 bag peanuts
2 celery with salt or pnut butter (knock off the pnut butter...)
1 12 oz water

home 1a
1 12 oz water and spoon pnut butter

I don't bring any $$$ with me to work so I won't hit the candy machine!!!

staying away from Diet drinks is not a problem because I never liked the taste of any of them. Breads, sweets are my problems. Since I have been doing this its not so bad. I just have to keep any junk out of the cubboards. Plan well when going out but I am real busy for most of the summer on weekends.

weekends are tough as I come home from staying in Orlando all week and my wife is not on Atkins. We are not in synch and I need for her to have the same foods when I get home. We will work that out next week. I spent last weekend cleaning out the cuboards.

I usually walk at break time at work 20 mins. Tues & Thurs. I do a 30 min walk or shoot basketball hoops. Then do a 20 min nautilus circuit.
Weekends I volunteer for a marching music group and do physical work as well.

I just got in from shopping.

Cancel the bread (I Know...)

The Brown and serve has 2g and I found some sausage patties with 0G

No Peanuts or Pnut butter

I am going to bring pepperoni and meat for snacks....

I got the heavy cream and dumped the H&H

I have added one big apple.....

Have you printed out the list of legal Induction Foods? Seems like you'll only need some minor adjustments to what you're doing already (apples don't get added back in until OWL Rung 7).

Also, you should probably be thinking of adding some variety into your veggies instead of only salad every day. It really helps.

Good luck on your journey and welcome!

So are you ready for the big jump.
yes that white bread was an eye sore. All low carbers would avoid that one.
Cutting out all "white food" could be a good preliminary step for you.

You could do revolution rolls instead of bread if you are into baking a bit.
You can do jicama instead of apple.

Good job on cutting down on stuff. Great eating your veggies.
I would really recommend eating something Atkins legal for breakfast. It really cuts down on how much you need to eat later.

And that is a lot of peanuts

I cut sugar a week before starting induction. I'm in day 4 of induction, but day 11 of no sugar. It made the transition a bit easier (was eating a lot of fruit and yogurt during that week, about 2 servings per day).
