Sadia,

Welcome, I'm Nada from Egypt. I had some trouble first to make my lifestyle atkins friendly. but here's wut I think you can have benifit from our cusine. I know that Arabic Grilled chicken, shish kabab and fish are the best, so Make use of them. Cheese is very good here, however make sure to not exceed more than 3 oz. I'd advise u to buy a food weigh to be sure what ur eating. Our spices are also very nice, so you can have chilli chicken or meat. lahmah barda would be very nice too ( if you have that in pakistan) you can also go to ::.. Wasfa Sahla ..:: where you will find many recipies and you can substitude the milk with heavy cream and the sugar with splenda !.. HAve FUN...

This is my second time around.. the first time i lost 17 kg now i only have 10 more to go.. i started atkins 3 days ago and i'm down 2 kg already =)

ps: if you are making any beverages like carcadeeh or smthn, be sure to use splenda or any sweetner that doesn't have aspartame, that goes for the diet pops too !

Dear Nada,
thank you very much for ur reply...i live in Bahrain so i am not only familiar to Arabic cuisine but a big fan too..i do eat shawarma( minus the khubaz off course),sheesh taook, kababs etc...but these are all made in hotels ..i am not sure wat they r putting in or how clean r they..so i am looking for some home made recipes to cook..i have never drank tea, don't like milk too but god i miss biryanis, machboos , gozi ( sniff, sniff) .. mashaallah 2 kg in three days is very impressive..keep it up .. i have lost five kg in 11 days..would u mind sharing detail of ur breakfast, lunch and dinner wid me coz i have ran out of options and reapting the same menu day after day n seeing my weight loss i am not complaining but honestly that sucks..
goodluck wid ur atkins journey.

Dear Sadia,

I HEAR YA !!! .. SEriously, I stopped loosing weight now but maybe Cuz i Dunt eat enough or i have stuff that has ASpartam, But it's 43 dEgrees out here, I NEED ICED DRINKS DAMN IT ! . n' sometimes I dunt have breakfast, sometimes Skip my veggies, but most of the time I dunt have time to eat proerally excpet in the weekends, So here's a menu for 2 days

Day 1 :
Breakfast:
2 eggs with 1 slice of rumy cheese or chedder cheese chopped in it, 1/2 tomato 1 big green pepr or red pepers, 1/4 onion or green onion all chopped in
0.5 oz of Edam chesse with chili peper
1 Decaf Cofee black ( im a coffee addict)

Lunch:
1/2 grilled chicken with melted cheese on it
1 tsp Mayo
3 Brocoli
green onions

Dinner :
1 can tuna
shredded roman lettus
2 tsp Mayo

Day 2 :

Breakfast:
2 Slices Smoked turky
1 Oz Edam cheese
1 Decaf black coffee

Lunch:
Grilled meat or Smoked salamon or maybe grilled chicken ( i'm a big fan of chicken)
Lettuce and onions aside

Dinner:
If I did eat shawrema, I get it from the butcher and stir fry it myself and add Alot of veggies to be fried with it
Sometimes I eat out, maybe i'll have mushrum with gravy
Or sometimes PIcata avec les champinion
But if i did feel heavy i'll just eat eggs with all the ingredients that I gave u

If u wanna make ColSlow, you can find the recipies on ::.. Wasfa Sahla ..:: and change the sugar added with splenda and don't add any shredded carrots

I sometimes have Iced cofee or Iced latte with skimmed milk, and I know milk is not really allowed on induction, but we dunt have heavy cream here in Egypt, I dunno about you ..

conact me anytime u need support,
I TOTALLY HEAR YOU

PS: although I havent lost weight on the scale, I feel great and Thin too...
Im 20 years old, my height is 169 and my weight is 83
I should be 73-75 Kg.. soo.. Lets just hope !
