| Diced ham is ham cut into small pieces (like dice) I would never be that accurate. I just hack them in pieces and go with that. Milled pepper is just ground pepper out of a pepper mill - or however you want to do it. I have not yet frozen my quiche but if I were to I would pack each portion in some plastic. So you are working on your cooking skills. Good job Laura.

| Laura, the book "The Joy of Cooking" contains a lot of great basic cooking technique and vocabulary as well as 100s of recipes. Granted it isn't a low carb cookbook, but if you are new to cooking it is a great guide for just about any and all cooking terms and methods. |

| thanks for that i will look into it. yeh i am starting from the beg. i dont even know how to cook a chicken lol but my mother is going to show me lol. it will be cheaper i think than buying chicken breasts lol. xx |

| Woohoo! Look at you go! I'm a terrible cook but if you've got your mum to teach you your the luckiest girl ever! My mum is in New Zealand and I havent had home cooking in 5 years! What I'd give for a bit of my mums roast chicken! |

| Joy of Cooking is an American book. You might have problems finding it in the UK. Delia Smith's book, How to Cook, might be more readily available in the UK.
