| If a food has less than 0.5 carbs in the serving size chosen by the producer, then it is allowed to show 0 on the label. This is why mayo has zero --- it simply has <0.5 g carbs per serving (tbsp, I guess). How much less than 0.5 g? I don't know... it could be 0.49 g or 0.1 g. It's impossible to say how the mayo will affect your weight loss --- it depends how many servings you ate and what your reaction to sugar is. But I know we have members here who use Hellman's mayo. Back to carbs. Whenever something is supposed to have carbs but the carb content is listed as 0, it's better to count it as 0.5 g per serving, just to be on the safe side.

| With Mayo if the sugar is listed as one of the latter ingredients it is probably OK to eat. It is hard to find sugarfree majo. I have always used full fat Hellmans. But you have to be a bit carful.

| I love Hellman's and have never had a problem with it. I've used it all my life and it's the only mayo I've ever used on Atkins. Naturally occurring sugars in tiny amounts won't create a disaster for you. You should be just fine with Hellman's. I know MANY members here who use it exclusively. |

| Its nearly impossible to find sugar-free mayo here. I use Hellmans too. One thing to be careful of if you are using the 'at the end of the list of ingredients' method: check how many different words for sugar are used - if there is 'sugar', 'fructose', 'corn syrup' and 'honey'...adding up the amounts of each and putting them in one category 'sugar', could make them the primary ingredient.

| i use hellsmans also as of the low carb count
