| Hi and welcome -- stay away from the shakes and bars (they are NOT legal on induction) - eat a variety of foods, get your fats, carbs and protein in daily, drink plenty of pure water (nothing added), take your supplements and exercise...it's really that easy. Read the 2002 DANDR book so you know what you’re doing. Check the stickies (information posts) at the top of this page http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/ Drink a minimum of 64 ounces of water each day, including: Filtered water Mineral water Spring water Tap water Crystal Lite, sugar free teas, sodas, latte’s, smoothies – don’t count – PURE water is the only thing that counts toward your daily water intake. Now is the time to make changes – stop using these products. If you need a “flavor” in your water float a lemon or lime slice on top of your water Check the recipe sites also - they are very helpful and will help make your meals so much more enjoyable. | Thank you guys for the support! So i completed day 1. I had cheese eggs and bacon for breakfast and lunch, for a snack inbetween lunch and dinner i had a handful of almonds (dont know if thats legal) and for dinner had salmon and broccoli. By the end of the day i felt EXHAUSTED! i was super tired and every muscle on my body ached. I feel a little better today tho. This morning i am in ketosis and dropped 2 lbs aready! Age: 21 Height: 5'6 7/2 - 163lbs 7/3 - 161lbs Goal weight - 140lbs |

| Well congratulations on that. You went into ketosis real fast. Good for you. Just a few thoughts about your first day: NO almonds - nuts can be introduced later but we stay away from them on induction. Nuts is a problem food for too many people. And you need 3 cups of veggies from the allowed list - preferably spread out over the day. But wow. That is great. Keep us posted.

| k got it, no almonds lol. It suprised me as well for getting into ketosis so quickly. i checked the ketosis stick this morning and it was light purple. |
