If you are hungry you can have anything from the acceptable foods list, whether it's 0 carbs or not. If you have veggies left from your required daily 3 cups, then you can have veggies with some fat and protein (e.g. celery/kohlrabi sticks with cream cheese). If you are done with your veggies or don't want to eat any at that time, then you can have low carb allowed foods such as cheese cubes/wedges, tuna salad, boiled eggs, etc. You should take a multivitamin. Dr. Atkins recommended one without iron, because many foods on the acceptable foods list are iron-rich. But you should see your doctor and check if you need additional iron in your diet or additional supplements.

Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!"
