Default Atkins Advantage Bars? Good or Bad for Induction or Atkins all together.

I'm on induction again and have trouble eating breakfast and was wondering if these Atkins Advantage Bars are ok? Please any advise would be great.

It's been our collective experience on ADBB that the bars/shakes/etc. stall or slow weight loss in some people, so we don't recommend them during Induction Phase because it's very important to maximize your weight loss during Induction, so you will be able to plan the rest of your Atkins.

With that said, you will read and even perhaps be PM'd that "I ate the bars and I lost just fine". Well, that might be true, but unless you compare your weight loss with the bars to your weight loss without the bars, you really can't say your weight loss was "fine".

I'm curious about the trouble you are having with breakfast. Is it the foods you are eating or is it you aren't very hungry in the morning?

Its because of 2 things:

I'm so busy in the morning that I sometimes just skip breakfast.

I could whip up some eggs but they just don't seem appealing. I like sweet things in the morning.

Any recipes for something sweet in the morning???

The Muffin In A Minute isn't induction friendly -- sorry I forgot to put that in when I posted this -- we are allowed less flax meal daily in induction than this recipe calls for. Please save this one until you get into OWL. I actually don't care as much for this recipe as the Mock Danise because the flax meal is a little off putting to my taste! I like flax cookies but this recipe was just too much flax!

Muffin in a Minute

Serving Size: 1

¼ cup flax meal
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 packet splenda packet
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 large egg
1 teaspoon butter

Put the dry ingredients in a coffee mug. Or a bowl for a different shape.

Stir.

Then add the egg and the butter. Mix.

Microwave 1 minute (or more). Take out. slice, butter, eat. Set mug to soak immediately.

Cream cheese would go nicely, too.

Notes: 1.5 net carbs.

Per serving: 235 Calories; 18g Fat (63% calories from fat); 12g Protein; 11g Carbohydrate; 223mg Cholesterol; 284mg Sodium

I think the bars are bad. For me they're addictive because it's easy to justify eating them... legal-ish and "candy." I had to quit. Not sure if theyre affecting my weight loss, but I was eating too many and they're too expensive!

About breakfast... it's not a rule that you have to eat "breakfast" foods for breakfast. You can eat whatever you'd like. I like eggs but I frequently eat "breakfast" for "dinner" and vice versa. In fact, I'm a big fan of tuna for breakfast... no idea why! So feel free to branch out beyond eggs, and PLEASE take it from me, don't start with the bars!

There are the some recipes out here that you can make in muffin pans, smaller size, you can freeze them. Then all you'd have to do is take them out, microwave and eat!

I think there are a few, eggs, bacon etc and one with eggs/cream cheese? Someone can chime in here hopefully that knows what I've seen. I could probably use those recipes again as well. Handy AND easy!

I've also cooked up some scrambled eggs the night before and then took to work to microwave up at work. I'm not hungry when I first get out of bed and I get to work about 2 hours later. Not bad in a pinch. You can add veggies to them or salsa and cheese.

I think you might mean this recipe, Tracey, for Pau's induction-legal breakfast mini-quiches.
