| Sounds like you are planning it out well. I like that you decided to get in three meals. Also spreading out the veggies are great. Good job on getting in all the veggies. Don't forget about the fat too. We use the 2002 version. That is the one you need

Thanks everybody I ended up only eating one scrambled egg wrap this morning - I was just not hungry for more. I have the other one sitting in my bag in case I need a snack later, but I doubt it - I haven't been hungry at all since Sunday. I've just been making sure to make food so that I am eating. Again - what a great support system, thanks so much!!

Welcome! You've lost your appetite already?! Great! That's a good sign that you're probably in ketosis and burning FAT! Eat when you're hungry, but also remember eat at least every 6 hours.

I sure hope I'm burning fat - I've got enough here to warm my city for a few days. After my two week induction (I'm going to do extended induction due to a massive amount of weight to lose) I'm going to treat my hubby and I to a lovely steak dinner. We don't buy it often because it's so expensive, but that's what I'm looking forward to right now. I just hate the scale - that's why I don't want to weigh myself. I'll do it periodically, but I'd much rather watch my measurements get lower. I just feel it's a greater sense of accomplishment, I always feel pounds are subjective, and weight loss and weight gain can be caused by any number of influences. Inches lost however, is something I can touch and feel. I'm sure once I lose more weight and not hating it as much as I do now I'll be more regular like once a week or bi-weekly when I do my measurements, but for now it's staying put in the closet.

Steak is not as expensive as you think. If you really look at the costs of meats, and compare, chicken, pork, beef, etc are pretty comparable. Here in Atlanta, boneless, skinless chicken breasts are about 1.99 per/lb on sale. I can find NY Strip, Ribeyes etc 4.99 lb on sale. (WHOLE LOINS but the butchers will generally slice for free) I know it's $3.00 difference, but I only eat 8oz at a time, get a lot of good fat and am not hungry. When I do chicken breasts, I eat 2 because of the lack of fat makes me hungry. So the Steak dinner costs me $2.50 but the chicken dinner costs me $2.00 (2 8 OZ Breasts) If I do wings, legs or thighs, I get good fat but pay for the weight of the bone. Additionally, whole boneless pork loin is $1.99 lb on sale. Same as chicken but with much more flavor and fat! Buy in bulk, have it cut, and if you have a Foodsaver, use it! If not, preseason it, wrap in foil, and freeze!
