| Have you looked up the sodium values of your bacon, sausage, and prosciutto? All of the stuff I've found in my grocery store are FULL of it - plus all the added sugars and starches they stick in them, I'm just staying away from the processed meats period. You could just be retaining water due to the sodium content, or your body is fighting back due to excess starches from that pork. |

| Thanks for the advice; I buy all my meat organic and there is no sugar, starch or added salt added. Forgot to add...I cut out cheeses, sour cream and cream.

| I don't know what to tell you - I'm not paying attention to the scale right now, weigh in and measurements on day 1, but no more weighing for awhile - but I'm going to do measurements bi-weekly. My biggest reason for not wanting to weigh in for awhile again is because I want to stay on course. Because I know how my body reacts to sudden diet change, I have to be careful with getting frustrated with my results. As soon as I get frustrated, I tend to stop doing what I'm doing, and then any benefit I may have had is completely gone. So if I saw a one week weight loss of 5 lbs, and then go to weigh myself the second week and have lost nothing, or even gained a pound, I'm just going to obsess over it wondering what I did wrong, when really - I lost 3-4 lbs in two weeks, which is a great amount of weight to lose. Averaged out it's 1.5-2lbs a week, which is how you're supposed to lose weight when making healthy lifestyle changes. So I guess what I'm saying is, don't give up - stay on course, and stop obsessing about weight lost, focus more on how you're feeling inside instead. |

Anyway, it's all normal. Maybe it's the stress why you're not losing. Being too obsessed with the scale, you know.... Wait until day 15 to weigh and then decide what you need to do. One BM per day is perfectly normal. You shouldn't take any laxative.

Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!"
