I'm not a fan of veggies and only have them a couple of times a week with my meat for supper.

I still lose no problem on Atkins and carry on eating the things i love (meat, egg, cheese). I take a daily multivitamin just to help the body a bit and I go for monthly cholestrol tests which are still in the normal range.

I know veggies are good for the body so i try and have pumpkin as often as possible. But veggies are a force-fed item with me........ and veggies or no veggies, I still lose weight and centimetres with Atkins.

I know this BB is supposed to be by the book, but there are a few people out there wanting to know if variations will work. My variation works for me. If in doubt, read the whole book (I have) and do it by the book - Dr Atkins' diet works a charm!

If you shop carefully you eat quite well on atkins (including veggies) for not too much money. I normally spend ~$20-30 a week on food, and that is eating pretty decent. I'm sure I could probably get it under $20, but it wouldn't be as enjoyable.

Besides veggies are usually cheap anyway. I generally spend $5-10 a week on veggies.

My question would be are you looking for a "quick fix" for a special occasion and looking to drop a bunch of weight and don't care if you gain it back? Or are you looking to lose it for good and keep it off. I don't think anyone can eat THAT extreme really long term and as soon as you start eating somewhat normally again you will gain. Is your motive being skinny or being healthy?
