Net Carbs are Total Carbs - Fibre. In the States & Canada, they are listed on food labels as Carbohydrates x .Fibre y .Sugars z .Sugar Alcohols ... since Fibre & Sugars are considered sub-categories of Carbs. In the example label above, Net Carbs = x-y. Basically, Fibre is a carb, but it doesn't really get digested and doesn't affect blood sugar, so we don't count it on Atkins In Europe, the label laws are different (I think they show Net Carbs rather than total - but don't quote me on that!)
