Yes, you must count the carbs in spices. I use cinnamon everyday, and yes, it can add up. About Fitday and fiber: If you haven't gotten Fitday to count fiber for you, this is how you do it: On the left side of the page, is a place that you can click on to set a nutrition goal. Go there, and set a fiber goal... that is done by setting a minimum and maximum daily fiber amount. It doesn't matter which numbers you plug in... I have my minimum set as 1 and my maximum as 50... the numbers there aren't important. I just put them in, to get Fitday to count for me. After doing this, the fiber grams will show with the other totals for carbs, protein, fat. Just subtract the fiber grams from the carb grams, and you have your net carbs.

Thanks Mitzimarie, I tried it, and the carbs show on a nutrition report, but not on my food log. Is that how it works? Is there away to show it on the food log?

Do you mean at the top of the page, where your foods are listed? No, your're right, it doesn't show there. I see it at the bottom of the page, where it lists the numbers for Calories, Fat, Carbs, Fiber, and Protein (the pie graph is near it).

Great, Thanks, I got it. Can you answer another Question. I think I may have unintentionally messed something up in my options. I was getting an email notice whenever someone responded to a message/thread I had posted to, and as of Saturday, it stopped. Did I uncheck soemthing by mistake? If so what specifically do I need to do to fix that?

Nevermind about the emails, I figured it out, somehow they started going to my Spambox in my email. Don't know why, I was getting messages fine all week. Thanks anyway.

Hmm... dunno. I've had my Fitday account since 2007, so I'm not sure how it works now. But I have had to answer this quesiton a few times lately. Maybe it's because people are just starting to use their older Fitday accounts?

| When FitDay updated their software, I'm sure it was updated for all accounts, not only for those created after the update was in place.

Back to my Jicama example. Both Nutritiondata.com and Fitday and www.carbohydrate-counter.org (from Jimmie 4 So it doesn't seem to me that Fitday subtracts the fiber to give the net carbs after I do the math. I also checked this for a few other foods.
