Default Torani and DaVinci Sugarfree Syrup

I thought I saw some induction friendly recipes the other day that used DaVinci SFsyrup. Is that allowed on Induction? I didn't see mention of it on the accepted food list. And is Torani SF the same as DaVinci? I saw Torani at the store today, but not DaVinci.

Default Re: Torani and DaVinci Sugarfree Syrup

1 tablespoon of SF syrup = 1 sweetener (Splenda) serving. 3 servings/day are allowed during Induction.

I found SF DaVinci to have truer flavors and they have a lot of different flavors. SF Torani seems to be more readily available.

I don't really use them anymore but my favorites were vanilla and hazelnut. I bought a ton of different flavors a couple of years ago and found that many of the flavors tasted similar. I wasted a lot of $$ buying so many different ones.

Default Re: Torani and DaVinci Sugarfree Syrup

Oh, I forgot...my REAL favorite flavor is caramel. I still use that one every once and a while.

Caramel and vanilla are two to try if you see them. I liked the hazelnut too. Many of the cool sounding flavors like white chocolate tasted like vanilla. The different fruit ones are nice although I ended up using fruit flavored extracts rather than SF syrup as time went on. Many people liked the peanut butter flavor. They do have Kahlua flavor and Baileys Irish Creme flavor which were nice in coffee. They really did have those flavors but it seemed weird to me without the booze "kick."

I bought most of the more common flavors at TJ Maxx and Marshalls for cheap and ordered some of the more unusual flavors from cappuccinoconnection DOT com. Shipping is $5.95 no matter how many bottles you buy. As full bottles are heavy, this is a great shipping price.

Default Re: Torani and DaVinci Sugarfree Syrup

Has anyone tried the sugarfree DaVinci Peanut butter or the sugarfree Torani Peanut butter?

Do they tast like peanut butter and which brand tasts better?
I did a search and several posters said the Devinci tasts better, but I wonder about the specific flavor peanut butter.

Does anyone know who carries the peanut butter flavor without ordering online?

I read common flavors are at Walmart, TJ Maxx and Marshalls.

I make a shake from the EAS low carb powder, with diet soda with ice in a blender and like to add peanut butter for extra tast.
(My diet has stalled and now realize the caffine and aspertaine in the diet sodas was the problem, so I am now using water and small diet soda, will try Diet Rite caffine free) I would like to use a substitute for the peanut butter.

EAS low carb powders are not allowed. They contain stuff like whey protein concentrate and corn syrup solids.

I bought a Sugar Free Chocolate and SF Vanilla at Walmart. They also had Raspberry and Hazelnut. Trader Joe's also sells them.

Target also makes SF syrups under their "Archer Farms" brand. There aren't as many flavor options but what they do make is cheaper and the same quality as DaVinci and Torani.

I've never tried the SF PB syrups but they are popular. Most people seem to use it in conjuction with real PB in recipes as a sweetener to enhance the PB flavor. And PB is not allowed during Induction.

Keep in mind that the SF syrups only add a hint of flavor...similar to an extract with sweetener. I've found that 1 TBS really didn't give all that much flavor to whatever I tried using it in so I stopped buying them after a while. YMMV

I've never seen the SF PB syrup in stores.
