The book is the basics. And the more you know about this diet, the less "errors" you will make.

Again, most people wouldn't install a child's car safety seat without first reading the instructions. It makes no sense to start Atkins or any other diet without first reading the instructions AKA the book.

ADBB isn't a replacement for the book. It's never claimed to be and never will be.

Cavenmac, I just need to make sure you understand what "net carbs" means. It has nothing to do with the grams of sugar on the label. Total carbs minus fiber grams will yield the net carbs.

For example, if a label shows 6g of carbs per serving and 2g of fiber, the net carbs per serving would be 4g.

Total carbs - fiber = net carbs
6g - 2g = 4g
