Default Another quick enquirey creme fraiche uk

ok ive read some previous posts on here saying that 1oz/28grams are allowed per day

now my little tub says
0.1 grams carb per 100grams
2.0 grams of protein
40 grams of fat

now apart from the carbs is there another reason to limit this to 1 oz?

as its absolutely gorgeous

any advice is welcome

Sour cream (or creme fraiche, for those lucky enough to find it) is in the Special Category Foods in DANDR. These foods are limited and come with the warning that they may stall or slow down weight loss, which is what Dr. Atkins observed in his experience. So if you want to be able to determine your degree of metabolic resistance as accurately as possible, sour cream/creme fraiche need to be limited to 1 oz during Induction.

Are you sure the nutritional info you posted above is correct? I don't have a 40% fat creme fraiche in the house now, but I have two different brands of the 30% fat stuff and they both have

290 calories
30 g fat
2.4 g carbohydrate
2.5 g protein

I'm surprised the carbs are so low in the one you have.

Thanks for posting the brand. We don't have it here in Germany.

Still 1 oz though.

I'm curious, do you want to make a recipe that uses more than 1 oz per serving? I'm asking because I've only used creme fraiche in recipes and 1 oz per serving seems quite a lot to me.
