Hi.

Dr. Atkins observed that aspartame stalled or slowed weight loss in some of his patients. That's why aspartame is not allowed during Induction.

As for weight loss, read the sticky at the top of the forum. My advice: stay off the scales until day 15. Some people lose weight during the first week. Some people lose weight during the second week. Some people lose weight throughout. Some people lose weight on week 3. Be sure to measure yourself too because the loss of inches generally indicates loss of fat from your fat cells.

We all have to learn exactly what the rules are so don't feel too bad about the iced tea :hug

Leave your next measuring until day 15 if you can - just like not weighing the fewer chances of feeling discouraged at any lack of progress you give yourself the better!

anything with aspartame is not alowed...that includes diet soda. Diet rite and diet big red are both make with splenda so you can have those. BUT, you should be staying away from caffeine.

i'm on day 4 as well and have only lost about 3 pounds. I wont be getting on a scale again. But i did measure today and i've lost about an inch from all my problem area. i am also going to the gym 4 days a week and doing tebo 2 days a week

good luck
