| Your asking..."Has anyone ever dieted and lost 10 pounds..then quit and gained 15 lbs?" Lol. All I can say is...once you do the induction...Move on to OWL...in the rungs of OWL your allowed more food..and once your at the end of atkins...you can hav eWhole Grains and stuff sparingly..like oatmeal, cereal, etc. and Fruits Are allowed also...like berries, melons, etc. Im guessing you didn't get the book yet? Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!" | I don't plan to switch - I am just about at my goal now. Just am letting it settle in a bit. But I do very much plan to eat those foods you mention. Well maybe not cereal because I think that may be one of the worst foods out there. But real oats with nuts and fruits I may eat. I also make bread for toast - which I plan to continue and I will give banana a try. But I personally believe that this is the healthiest way to eat. The board is full of people coming back because they went back to "normal" eating. So it is very important to use this opportunity to get a new relationship with food - so that you can keep your weight off.

| Too many people make an assumption that Atkins is all about the Induction phase only. Wrong! Arm yourself with education by reading beyond the Induction Chapter in DANDR 2002. You will learn about the other phases of the plan. Dr. Atkins was a smart guy and he knew what he was doing to ensure that this could be the WOL he intended. Good luck.
