Re: Game Watch snack | | A word of caution here. If you choose to snack while watching the game, make sure you eat because you are hungry or because 6 hours have passed since your last meal, not only because "everyone snacks while watching the game". Also, if you start eating, make sure you stop when your hunger is satisfied (not when you are full/stuffed). Avoid mindless snacking and don't think it's okay to eat as much as you can of whatever low carb food simply because it's very low in carbs. These things might seem natural when you sit down at the table and eat, but many people forget about them when they eat in front of the TV, for example.
A snack idea would be cheese or flax crackers (remember flax is limited to 1 tbsp per day if used as a fiber supplement). You could have these with pesto (made without nuts). You could also make muffins or mini quiches. The first thing that comes in mind right now is Pau's quiches/cheesecakes. I have a crappy internet connection here, but maybe someone else can post the link to the recipe. If I recall correctly, for 9 muffins it is using 3 eggs, 70 g heavy cream, 100 g cream cheese, 90 g grated edam cheese, 50 g minced bacon (and salt to taste). You beat the egg whites and mix the yolks with other ingredients. Combine the whites with the egg yolk mixture. Pour in a buttered muffin pan and bake at........ 200 C (?) for 15-20 minutes (?).

Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!"
