__________________ Dear Lord, please help me help myself. ![]() F. 37. 5'9. Start Oct. 5, 2009 282/ 280/ 168 Sz 24-26; Waist 53.5 / (can't wait to put new #s here!) Goal 1: 268 (100lbs from goal) Goal 2: 246 (lowest new hubby has ever seen me) Goal 3: 224 (lowest in 10.5 years) Goal 4: 199 (in the 1's for the first time since 1995) Goal 5: 175 (senior year in college & the last time I felt decent about my weight) GOAL: 168 (highest I can weigh & have a NORMAL BMI) |

| Good luck and keep fighting. You don't need a god to help you. Do it for yourself! =) That loss wasn't given, it was EARNED. The weekend is probably your best bet for the flu. I know it helped me out a lot. Cheers |

| Good for you! Now that you know weighing in everday might be counterproductive, you can be more on your guard about it. It's hard to free yourself from the scale, because losing pounds has been so ingrained in us all. But take this to heart....the scale is imperfect. I learned my lesson early in my ATkins. There was a period of months where I really didn't gain or lose any pounds: one week I was down a pound or two, the next I was up a pound, next I was down a pound, etc. That was during the winter. In the spring, I went to buy some new capri pants for summer wear. Since I didn't lose any pounds, I headed straight to the extended sizes and picked up a pair of capris in my "usual" size. They didn't fit. That worried me, so I got more sizes---larger sizes. They didn't fit either. I was panicked and nearly in tears in that changing room. I was excerising and following the Diet, but my weight stayed the same and now I couldn't even fit into any of the pants I tried on. I was so angry at myself. Then I realized something, those pants didn't fit me because they were too big! the scale stayed the same, but I shrunk. So don't let the scale rule you.

| I’m glad you are ‘back’! And you are not stupid ‘really’… this happens! This happened to me too – after losing 12 pounds the first week I gained 2 back on the 3rd week…….. and now it is the 6th week and I have lost only 1 more pound BUT I am going to stay with this! I think what messed me up was the bars and shakes so about 4 days ago I have cut those out completely. I have realized that everything you put in your mouth WILL count no matter what it is!
