Default "country fried steak" last night, mmmm

I had a craving sooo bad for it and I was walking around the grocery store last night and it hit me I can make this!!! So I dipped the cubed steak in egg and rolled it in parmesan cheese, then fried and put a few sauted onions on top, my whole family loved this!!!

Then the night before I made pork chops stuffed with cheddar and bacon, so good

I am loving induction this week, finding so many alternatives to eat rather than plain meat. My sister and now my husband are both on Atkins now. And last night my husband said he was so proud of me and said he gets so excited when he sees how excited I am that the weight is coming off. It made my day!

Good luck to everyone today, keep up the great work, and I can't wait until Sunday for my 2 week weigh in

Love posts like this one!!! I love cooking and I've spent time over the last five years changing old recipes to capture flavors we enjoy while making them Atkins friendly. It has made staying on all phases of Atkins a lot easier and I never feel deprived.

Congratulations to you!

That's a great idea. Thanks for sharing! i think the biggest key is to keep finding new insispiration. I make a great "mushroom gravy" that would be killer on you fried steak!

saute mushroom in some butter with a pinch of salt. Add a splash of worchestershire sauce (optional) a plop of grey poupon and some cream. Sometimes I just use the cream and then put a lot of cracked black pepper in it. I'm going to try it on your steak!

I buy the chicken tender pieces at the grocery store (the ones that are 1 or 2 inches wide) - I dip them in egg then in parmesan cheese and fry them until they are brown in a little olive oil with butter ---- they are delicious!!! Serve them with ranch dressing -- they also taste good cold so they are good for lunches at work or home.

Good for you finding new ways to prepare your meat and other foods -- the key to Atkins is variety ..... there are too many foods we can eat to keep eating the same meal over and over - day after day.....keep up the great work!!

I love reading when others find creative meals to make. We have so many choices and can use REAL and tasty ingredients. Maybe you can share some of your future dinner ideas on the Induction dinner thread (What's for Induction Dinner Tonight????).

Happy to hear you are having such a great week. Having the family on board support-wise is a HUGE plus too.
