| You need to see a doctor. I don't think you should trust an internet board for medical advise. Best of health.

| I have heard of cramps from potassium loss but this sounds like something else. I would definitely check with your MD |

| For what it's worth, when I started, my upper arms were very sore ... but not cramps. If it's a mineral issue, you can try a calcium, magnesium, zinc supplement. Not everyone experiences a potassium loss either. Make sure you're getting ALL your vegetables, ALL your water, and that you're eating enough food. And ... since you have carpal tunnel, conferring with your doctor isn't a bad idea ... the pain may be entirely unrelated to your eating.

| I read the book and took some advice, took potassium and I feel great. I was not concerned to the extent of the doctor, knew my body needed something! |

| >>took potassium>> You know that taking potassium pills is very often contraindicated if you're on any prescription medications, right? That "taking" potassium has cardiac risks? That a potassium pill (unless it's prescription strength) is far less potassium than eating say, an avocado or any other potassium rich food? If you are on any prescription meds, please check the fine print very carefully for each medication at Drugs.com | Prescription Drugs - Information, Interactions & Side Effects. You don't want to make anything worse when you could make it better by eating properly!

| I don't take prescriptions and I got the potassium from the salt substitute that someone was talking about on here. I feel good. I was in nursing school before I had my son, so I feel pretty confident in my decision not to go to the doctor. |
