The best encouragement I can give you is that you should read Dr. ATkins New Diet REvolution, 2002 edition in its entirety before you begin this diet. The more you understand the diet, the more you will know what to expect. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to read a post where the person says something like "I quit! It's impossible for me to eat only 20 net carbs of food for the rest of my life." You see, that person didn't bother reading the book, didn't bother educating himself on the diet, and essentially sabotaged his weight loss effort through his own ignorance. So read the book and know what you are in for.

| If my the Atkins on-line you mean the website run by the Atkins Nutritionals (ANA), it will be different from the book. They are selling products and have changed the rules considerably since Atkins died and they are in control of the company. On this board we abide by the rules in the 2002 book and pay no attention to what they have added or taken away.

| About the atkins.com website ... don't rely on their carb counts ... and don't rely on the list of Induction foods.

| Thanks Liv & Atkinsgal08, I did not know that!! Wow, I didn't know there was a difference. Well, I ordered the "Atkins for Life: The Complete Controlled Carb Program for Permanent Weight Loss and Good Health" from Amazon.com. Or should I just send it back & get the Atkins 2002 book from the library. I need to do the right thing than to do the Atkins on-line or the book I ordered & not lose weight, that would be a disaster. But anyway, I am being positive. Should I just get the Atkins 2002; Sunnyone1 |

| >>ell, I ordered the "Atkins for Life: The Complete Controlled Carb Program for Permanent Weight Loss and Good Health" from Amazon.com.>> This book is for those who don't have weight to lose or are at maintenance. You really do need to have a copy of the 2002 DANDR.
