Default made it through thanksgiving dinner and today the fair..

No cheating. oh my goodness was yesterday for thanksgiving dinner hard, the first time I've found the program hard...but I had a piece of ham, some turkey and some cauliflower and left the potatoes, and casseroles and stuffing and cranberries and pumpkin cheese cake and everything else for everyone else!!!!!!! Today was the fair, the funnel cakes the pogos the fries, the everywhere you go good smell!!! LOL I went into one of the buildings and found a guy selling pepperoni sticks and asked for the nutritional information on them and they were zero carbs so I bought two and waited for everyone else to find me after they ate their junk! lol I don't think I've ever had this will power before! Now that it is all over I'm so happy that I stuck to it!

Congrats on the will power...it will pay off! My big test is a couple hours away, Thanksgiving dinner at the in-laws My MIL makes the BEST sweet-n-sour meatballs (SO off limits!) and I LOVE gravy...I'm bringing cauliflower potatoes & pumpkin treat for myself...may even make some cheese sauce to keep me out of that gravy!
I'm 3 lbs away from 50% to goal...meatballs & gravy are NOT worth it (I keep repeating to myself)

Good for you!

But next time when you have to go to a family dinner, bring something, like a side dish, along that YOU can eat. For example, bring a green salad, or some steamed veggies with a friendly cheese or hollandaise sauce. That way you'll be assured you can eat something in addition to the main meat dish.

As for fairs and festivals, I attend them every spring and every fall. I have noticed that there are more foods available that I can eat, for example at the craft fair last week, there was a vendor selling barbecued ribs and hamburgers. But when I go to those things I usually take a look at the people eating those carby foods---they are usually overweight and that gives me a good reality check about what those foods can do to me.
