| >>this spicy sauce from Lousiana called Crystal (no carbs, of course)>> I bet there are carbs! If you look at the list of ingredients ... do the ingredients have carbs? If so, then it's just the label that says 0, and it's "lying". According to the USDA, hot sauce (such as Tabasco) has 0.08 net carbs per Tsp. Almost 0 ... but not. And those fractional carbs can add up!

| I always marinade them in the hot sauce/seasoning. Deep fry until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels. Roll in more sauce. Then bake @ 350 for about 20 minutes. Delicious! Enjoy your wings! |

| Thanks Jessi!! how do I know when they are ready to get out of the oil? should the skin brown? |

| The skin will brown (the darkness depending on the oil you are using..fresh oil will result in a lighter color and oil that you have used once before will produce a darker color), and I find that the wings (drummettes) float when they are done.

| I like mine baked. I actually steam them first, then cool, then bake in fairly high temperature. And I use Frank's Hot Sauce - just may favourite. I hope yours turn out well. I love chicken wings

| Sorry for the delay in response, but I do exactly what Carrie said to do. Just watch the skin color. I usually find that it is approx. 5-6 minutes per batch. |

| I fry them (in a small amount of olive oil) until they are brown - then I put them in a mixture of Franks Hot Sauce and melted butter -- then broil them a couple minutes to "set" the hot sauce. It's the way my favorite restaurant makes them.
