| Maybe, but I re-read the book at the end of the induction section, and he really seems to be saying that if you have a lot of weight to lose, or want to lose it faster, stay on induction for longer. What do I have to lose? I'll try it for another 2 weeks, and if I don't lose much, I'll move on to OWL.

| My advice would be to spend some time correcting the errors you posted about in the first post of this topic. As to your questions "What do I have to lose"? ... well, I've seen a lot of people "give up" because they stayed on Induction too long ... got afraid to move to OWL. Couldn't believe that eating MORE would work ... since eating LESS wasn't "working".

| Mike, also keep in mind that a great many people go through PISS (Post Induction Stall Syndrome). Just after Induction you may have a couple of weeks with no loss as your body readjusts. This is usually followed by a healthy drop of several pounds once your body is ready. The only thing to do is wait it out and don't give in to the temptation to chuck it all. Here is the link for PISS: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...-expected.html (PISS-Post Induction Stall Syndrome- a reality to be expected)

| From your fitday overview I see that your percentages are off... It should be fat 65%, protein 30% and carbs 5%. Having too much protein and not enough fat can definitely slow things down... Also in regards to red meat... cancer should be the least of your worries right now weighing what you weigh... Get off the weight first, (heart disease is #1 killer, not cancer) and then you can tweak your diet to be more poultry/fish and less beef... In the mean time, i.e. hamburger is a great way to get red meat + fat in one meal... Looking at your first graph of your downward trend, it looks exactly as it should... Straight down and then leveling out to a slower downward trend. You should start losing again as soon as your body realizes that you are serious about this whole weight loss thing... |

| I suppose you're right about the heart disease risks as opposed to cancer. My weight finally budged this morning, another 1/2 kg off. Woohoo! Gonna repeat yesterday's gameplan again today and see if it happens again.
