First, welcome back. Before you start again, what is it that causes you to bail each time? That is a question that is important for you to answer. Figuring out what causes you to cheat will help you devise strategies to not repeat the action.

| Hi there I know what you mean I got married to my husband and weighed 14 stone and I got married abroad so it took a year for him to get his visa and in that time I ate healthy and did lots of exercise and dropped to 9stones.He had a shock at the airport I will always cherish that moment he was pleased and amazed.I got pregnant the second week of him coming and the weight piled on every month so I did not get a chance to enjoy my new slim size.At the end of pregnancy shot up to 14 again. This has been going on through 3 pregnancies until last year after3rd boy I realised Im going to eventually lose it I weighed 283lbs and its been a year im 176lbs and Ive done it.You asked how we keep going well I always focus on my goal and since I have lost alot I always remember how I looked before that keeps me going and I dont cheat.Hope this helped.

I think that it is great that you have identified your problem areas. Now you have address each of these problems. It is not a miracle diet - it only works if we work it and so figuring out how to stick with it will be key. So what do you cook? I am not a great cook either. I prefer fast and furious in the cooking department but I have learned to do a few things that has beeen food for me. What specifically do you think it would be nice to do? Wanting fruit - is a fancy way to say that you wanted sugar. If you did not get over your sugar cravings maybe you did not eliminate all sugars in your induction diet. Make sure that you follow it to a T. No exception - you have to be perfect. And never overdo artificial sugars or drink sweetened water. (gross stuff)

Yep, liv is right on the money. Boredom makes it tempting to stray so make use of the recipe threads here at ADBB and on Linda's low carb site. Some folks actually like the same foods whiule the rest of us get bored, so make sure you do something about it. The second thing I advise is this: Get in the habit of asking yourself a dozen times a day whether a taste of something is worth remaining fat and unhappy. Make this question second nature. You have to make it a conscious choice every day. Finally strike a deal to drink a full 16 ounces of water before you eat something off plan. Then ask yourself if it is worth drinking that water to have that bite of food. If you drink a lot of water anyway, the snack often isn't worth yet another drink.

Thanks guys, im going to get some recipes together. I want easy stuff to do tho because my hubby wont eat alot of what I do but my 2yr old will, so for the days when Im cooking 2 different things I want to keep it as simple as possible. I try to drink 3ltrs a day when im doing things properly, I dont find it too hard as when I slack off my body lets me know it needs it and I feel good when I drink it.

Lots of days I will make something Atkins friendly that can go over rice or pasta. Then I cook the carby stuff for them and eat it plain myself. Lots of things can be done this way...Beef Stroganoff, Chicken Cacciatore, Chile con Carne, Swiss Steak, etc. It saves cooking two meals.

Welcome back! I've gotta tell ya, I think we've all been "there" numerous times, and I'm no exception. My first time was last October (almost to the day!) and I was on this WOE for exactly 5 weeks and lost 20lbs, only to be sidelined by bronchitis. Well, I didn't gain any back until April-August of this year, when my dad became very ill and passed. I wasn't sleeping well, had acid reflux, diabetes (Type II) high blood pressure, and bad circulation. So I became a STAC atkineer, starting on Sept. 9, and have lost almost 32lbs to date. I still have non optimal circulation, but all the other illnesses, including diabetes, are gone. That's enough to keep me on track. My meals are not too exciting, but they're filling, and that's what's important to me. I found that if I'm craving something, like a piece of cake, etc., I close my door (if I'm at the office) or move to a quiet room and meditate myself through the memories of the last piece of really good chocolate cake I remember eating. I can actually taste its flavors and feel the silkiness of the frosting oh, does anyone have a cigarette? It really works! Good luck to you! Shelley
