| >>Would it make sense to stay on induction until I've lost 50% of the weight I want to lose (14lbs). And then move over to OWL?>> No, that doesn't make sense. Have you read the chapters in DANDR about moving on to OWL? One should be at pre-maintenance with 5-10 pounds to lose (in your case I would suggest 5) ... so you need the time in OWL. MOST of your weight should be lost on OWL ... Induction is about getting your body ready to lose. I wouldn't stay on Induction more than 2 weeks. Moving to OWL and adding the extra vegetables can only help you.

| I agree, if you really want this to stick you have to go slow, moving on to OWL successfully while still losing weight gives you confidence and makes you feel in control over the food instead of it controlling you.

| Another vote here for moving to OWL afer your 14 days induction rather than staying on induction any longer. This will give you the time to really learn what foods (if any) affect you adversely and discover your CCLL before moving to the third phase (premaintenance)

| This may not be what you want to hear but...one more vote for a 14-day induction. Doing OWL as long as possible while you are still losing at a good rate will teach you how to keep the weight off permananely.
