I bought one of those travel size mouthwashes, and I keep that and floss at work for after my breaks. I bring it home and refill it...works great! I can't chew gum at work, and I don't like chewing gum anyway, and this is a really quick thing to do. I don't think it matters what brand you use.

the mouthwash shouldn't be a problem - unless your swallowing it.. eww.. Gum is a different matter. Get sugar free and read the label. If you need to something to chew on you can always do what my mom does, she chews straws. I'm a pen chewer myself, but to each his own

| ok....here is what i know.... ive been told gum is a no no during induction. kinda like diet soda that uses the wrong sweetener. during induction, now, i know longer chew it. I try to stick to clean clean clean. BUT, i may be wrong on the gum topic. i have used it in the past. Get the sugar free kind, but look at the lable. Some have one carb per peice some have two. I always went for the one carb because i would like to chew 2 peices per day. good luck

Other than bothering my jaw, gum reminds me too much of candy and sweets, and mentally, I just don't need that. Also, gum can get your digestive juices going and it makes me think I'm getting ready to eat! I just avoid it..lol

All i need is refresh my mouth so i don't smell of my lunch. I would only need one piece of gum a day but i might try the portable mouthwash instead.
