Question Is it ok if one can live without meat while following Atkins

Hi all,

Hope all are in good health and trying to achieve their best of health here at atkins board!

Well, its my fourth day in Induction could anyone tell me if its ok for me not to take meat or beef instead I am fond of chicken which I do normally take with my salads!

I usually take salads, eggs, cabbage soups in the day, sum chicken(usually grilled) but I am still spectacle about cheese and meat(which actually I am not that fond of) So far food is not a problem for me but yes Activity has always been my weak part! How to burn those stored fat is an issue at my side!

So please let me know if its ok if one can survive without cheese n meat!

I am real heavy so wat other things I can do to loose it quick or how should I go about setting my goals? Is there a formula or just an estimate of how much one would set to loose and in how much time?

Thanx!Take Care

Why would it not be okay? No where in DANDR does it say you must eat beef, for example.

Yep, you can survive without them.

Other than follow the plan correctly... nothing. Be patient. Don't set deadlines for your goals.

Did you read DANDR 2002?

Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!"

I am a vegetarian and my fiance is lactos intolerant so yes I go without cheese and milk and meat. It's very possible! <3

Do you eat fish? It is always good with some variety and there are some nutrition to be had from fish.
If you eat cabbage soup and chicken in salad by concern would be that there is not enough fat in your diet to be doing the Atkins diet- where about 65% of calories early come from fat. So work that in
