| it's best to drink water throughout the day -- why aren't you able to drink other than at breakfast until you get home from work? NEVER skip drinking your water - it's essential to keep your internal organs working properly, flushing toxins and fat from your system and helps keep you regular. I fill a 32oz water bottle first thing in the morning and start sipping from the straw -- filling it 4 to 5 times a day. I can always tell if I need more water by how I feel. After your body gets use to the water you are drinking daily you won't be going to the bathroom frequently as you are now. Good luck getting your water in.

| This post is not about how I can ensure that I drink 64oz of water during the day. This post is to put forward this scenario: Person A did not drink the 64 oz of pure water required during the day. Evening time comes. Does person A chug down the remaining amount or try again the next day? What happens in both cases? |

| >>Person A did not drink the 64 oz of pure water required during the day. Evening time comes. Does person A chug down the remaining amount or try again the next day? What happens in both cases?>> I would not think that chugging down 64 ounces in the evening would be something I would want to do to my system ... however, I'm not going to speak for Person A. If Person A would going to forgo water and "try" again, what is likely to happen is some water retention, which will likely result in a bounce up on the scale. If Person A is going to consistently not drink water during the day, I would suggest that Person A do some serious thinking about how to get the water in during the day. And I would also remind Person A that 64 ounces is the MINIMUM ... that more is always better.

| I wasn't making any judgments! I don't have your bladder nor do I know your ability to drink 64 ounces of water in however short a time frame ... so I don't really know how to advise! I would try to drink as much as possible ... if that's 64 ounces ... then go for it. It's just not really going to hydrate you very well to "chug" your water ... nor are you really doing your body a favor. However ... we've all had days where we didn't get all our water in ...

| In your situation I would try to get in as much water as I comfortably can by about 2-3 hours before bedtime. Then you have a reasonable shot at your bladder not waking you up 3-4 times during the night to get rid of said 64 oz. But, as has already been said, best not to have to go this route. |

| I've done this on the rare occasion that I had something going on and simply couldn't spread my water out evenly during the day. I've found that wether I try or not to make up for it at the end of the day or not, either 1) I retain water from not drinking enough or 2) The scale is still up in the morning because I drank it too late to get it all out of my body by morning weigh in. Now I just do what is comfortable and move forward. |

When I used to smoke, it was easier for me to go out and everyone would think I'm taking too many smoke breaks.. when in reality I'm just using the opportunity to use the restroom. Now it has just become ridiculous! Nevertheless, I'm sticking to it and people can think what they will. At the end of the day, I want to lose the weight and if it results in a few comments here and there.. then whatever |

| Just one note of caution: you don't want to drink a HUGE amount of water very fast. It can kill in extreme cases (like people trying to drink several litres as fast as possible in stupid contests). So if anybody is going to try to drink a lot in the evening, it's better to spread it over a couple of hours.
