I'll have to try it, I made the stuffed green peppers today and let me tell you, they were divine. My husband said if I can create low carb dishes like that for dinner he'll never fall! LOL

Does it really say 0.6 on the label???

I would still believe Fitday.
No, the label said "0" carbs, I added the .6 because I knew it was not Zero. I don't remember how I arrived at that .6. I think I tried converting the figures from Fitday to tabs to match with my carton's label, measuring tabs to ounces.

So, J, you think I should go with Fitday and ignore the nutrition info on my carton? What do you think?

It is tricky when the serving sizes are as small as one tablespoon and the carbs are less than 0.5 so written as being zero.
You could put the label info into a hidden carb calculator to get the exact numbers and see how that compares with fitday.

We are lucky over here in UK as (like with most non-USA labels) ours list the nutrition per 100 grams or 100 mls, so our numbers are more 'honest' and easier to apply accurately.

For non-USA products where we have a more accurate count I would use the label info, as fitday/USDA database has the numbers for an average I am sure. Different manufacturer's/producers will find different numbers when they test their products I am sure.

The double cream I buy with 2.6 carbs per 100 ml works out at 0.38 net carbs per tablespoon (1/2 fl oz), so is less than fitday.

Hey Elizellen,

Never knew there was a hidden carb calculator! Thanks, I just "googled" them.

My kids LOVE this recipe! We do all of the taco toppings with it, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, olives, avocado, and hot salsa. Definitely a favorite--and reheated it's just as good or better!

Glad you found the problem with calories not matching. I always "trust" Linda's counts on the recipe and have never entered each item myself. Glad to know there was a problem on your end and not with the recipe. Whew!

Yes, I think I will make this again sometime. I just individually wrapped the leftovers up to put in the freezer. If I keep eating it it everyday, I will get bored with it!

And this is the first time I wanted to compare nutrition info. In the future I will trust her figures.

Just so I'm clear... is the OP using the term TAB to refer to tablespoons? Because I have only ever seen tablespoons shortened to Tbs. or Just T. in recipes.

Is TAB also a abbreviation for tablespoon that I'm not aware of? Sometimes all of the acronyms on BBs can make me question myself!

HaHa,

Are you talking to me?? Speaking of acronyms, I am not sure what "OP" means...LOL

I often (probably incorrectly) use TAB instead of tbsp, or T, or TBS.
I use TAB because I have run across people who were confused about T and t, as far as tablespoon and teaspoon. So I somehow got in the habit of using TAB instead of T or TBSP.
Sorry
