Default i need something crunchy!!!!

i'm starting again! I went off of atkins my second semester senior year of college. It was sometimes difficult being at school to keep to it and I decided that I wanted to just take it easy for that final semester and not worry about anything. Well, now i'm realizing how much better it was when I was eating that way. I was thinner and healthier and I was really into the low carb life.
I started induction again on the 28th of March and I've been doing great. I've had a mostly clean induction so far, but i am dieing for something crunchy, like dorito crunchy! I dont' want a dorito, but i want something with a different texture, just something different. I know pork rinds are something crunchy, but isn't there anything else? Something I can make? What does everyone else do?

I have started getting my crunches in celery! Pork rinds just don't do it for me, and celery is uber-healthy and crunchtacular!

Default chomp chomp

Raw Jicama and radishes gives me the best crunch.

speaking of pork rinds...I decided to try some today because I was starving...maybe it was the brand but I hated them...big disappointment...I was hoping to find a new easy snack.

it is A crisp, sweet turnip-shaped root vegetable (Pachyrhizus erosus) used raw in salads and as crudités or cooked in stews. Also called Mexican turnip, yam bean.

Pepperoni crisps!!

Put a sheet of parchment paper on a cookie sheet and lay slices of pepperoni on it..they can be quite close together because they shrink.

Bake at 350 for 10 minutes, and then keep an eye on them until they are crisp. It's a fine line between crisp and black..so watch out!
Put them on paper towel to soak up any grease, let them cool and enjoy!

Remember pepperoni is high in salt, so watch your intake.

Some folks microwave these, but that never really worked for me, but the oven did a great job.

If you let the parchment cool right off, you can just crumple it up and toss it afterwards..no mess! :joy

Jicama is a vegetable that looks like a potatoe but tastes like an apple/pear combination. Very tasty & crunchy
