| Congratulations! >>I am going to continue on induction untill i reach about 250 lbs or less and then switch over to OWL.>> I would really recommend you switching to OWL sooner rather than later. Getting to maintenance and learning how to keep the weight off means you need to spend time on OWL. You need to learn what foods work for you. Most of your weight should be lost on OWL. The phase isn't called "Ongoing Weight Loss" for nothing!

| atkinsgal, I still have about 100 lbs to lose, would it really be that bad if i stayed on induction for another 30 lbs. |

| It's not a matter of being "bad" ... make sure you read Chapters 12 and 13. So many people stay on Induction too long ... they're comfortable with the losing ... they don't have a problem with the food. Then "the stall" happens ... and they get afraid to move ahead ... the thinking being if they can't lose on Induction, how will they lose on OWL? When in reality, more food often does the trick! Many people have lost 100 pounds or more on OWL ... which is where you should lose most of your weight. How do you think an extra 5 net carbs of Induction vegetables will hurt you?

| I plan on doing an extended induction since the book does say that you can if you have a considerable amount to lose; however, I am already wondering what it is going to be like to be loosing considerably and then upping your carb intake and end up stalling out. |

It happens ALL the time. How much do you have to lose? And how long do you plan to do Induction for?
