9th Day of Induction -- Some Questions

Current Status: 9th day of induction, have lost 15 pounds as of this morning, feel great, lots of energy, sleeping better, no hunger pangs, or withdrawals.

Questions: I apologize up front if these have been answered previously or are in DANDR, but I have not come across the answers.

1. DANDR says the majority (I believe 12) of my 20 carbs during induction will come from eating my salad and other vegetables; however, my calculations are not adding up to a “majority” of my carbs. For instance, today my veggies will be:

• • 2 cups lettuce
  • ½ cup of cucumbers
  • ½ cup of red bell pepper

This certainly does not even come close to a majority of my carbs. Any advice would be appreciated.

2. I use Listerine Listermint mouthwash, is this okay to do? I’m not drinking it of course.

12 net carbs do not explicitly appear in DANDR. I'm sure someone else will give you a more detailed answer, but you might want to check the discussion in this thread: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...-question.html (A kinda odd veggie question...)

Mouthwash is fine to use.

If you had three cups of veggies you are good.
Your daily carbs do not have to add up to 20 on induction (mine never did) but most of your carbs have to come from veggies and you should have 3 cups of vegges.
