Are you measuring? Sometimes people lose inches first rather than pounds.

Well you may be one of the select few that are extrememly resistnat to weight loss. However, I would definitely throw that scale in the closet until day 14 and then see if you have had results. If not then you can read chapter 20(I think). Someone else may have better suggestions for you. Best of luck, and do not give up.

If anyone has any tips or ideas as to why I'm sooo hungry seems every 2 to 3 hours I need to eat..b4 atkins I ate once or twice a day...please let me know...maybe this is why I'm not losing weight? I'm eating things like tuna salad with mayo(very little) and radishes with green onion and alphalfa sprouts...eggs with a little cheddar, chicken, pork chops and salads with no dressing(boring but I don't want to risk eating too many carbs or hidden sugar...thanks, cathy

Hi, do not give up. Incorporate exercise into your day, that will help the pounds fall off. You say you live in florida use the warm nights to have a nice brisk twenty minute walk. :icondance

Cathy, it could be that you are not eating enough fat. Do you use fitday? You should definitly use fitday or something similar to track your intake of carbs fat and protien. If you are hungry eat somthing carb free with fat and protien. Cheese is a good snack or a hardboiled egg. Then wait 20 minutes and see if you are still hungry. It could simply be you are still trying to count calories instead of eating until you are satisfied.

ok, I'm going to try this fitday thing, I've seen it marked in posts but never checked it out..not counting calories...just concentrating on eating what I'm supposed to but not sure about the fat intake..I'm really careful with cheese(not sure how much an ounce is) so I've only used it sparingly..as for night walks, I walk to work in early afternoon, and walk home in evening, plus walking/standing at work for 8 hours, should I add more still? if you think it will help I will try it...Cathy

how it breaks down on fitday is 65% fat, 30% protein, & 5% carbs. Don't concern yourself with calories - we don't really measure them anyway. Only the carb content.

Also aside from eating the right amounts, make sure your drinking your water! After eating and you still feeal hungry after 20 mins, drink some water, and if you STILL feel hungry then make yourself some more food. Some eggs, small salad, or a mock danish Something that will satisfy your hunger with out stuffing you.

You could also post a few menus on the review my menu forum - it helps to know if your eating the right thing and eating enough!
