And ... spices have carbs.> yes correct, i should have said the pepperoni stick has less that 1 gram of carbs... but if you have 4 cups of water, and add a tablespoon or two of chicken broth powder to that and drink it... its still water. I drink a ton of water, but for someone who doesnt like water, it's the same as adding crystal lite, or a lemon.. it's just hot, and seasoned... IMO |

| I used to have this argument with my grandmother all the time. If I dump a teaspoon of instant tea onto a peice of bread, IT'S STILL A PEICE OF BREAD. The bread didnt vanish. It didnt change on a molecular level into a different substance. Why would the water not also still be water? You can argue that that teaspoon of instant tea isn't good for you, but I find it rediculous to argue that the water isnt still water. ( BTW, I did get slapped for that argument as a kid hehe ) |

| i think you need to be realistic about it.. flavouring the water is one thing...but adding crap to it like the things that are in pop, or even coffee which is full of caffeine changes things. i think you have to use some sense and not force yourself that by drinking a 6 pack of bud you've had your water intake for the day either lol (not that i think you are, just a point) |

| ya, crystal lite would was a bad example for induction. it's all sweetners... but if you can add spices to a cauliflower and eat it while drinking the water, what's the difference if you just pour that tablespoon of atkins induction friendly power/liquid into your water? it's the same right. |

| flavouring with lemon, or lime, or a tomato, even.. it's still water if you are measuring out your 10 oz of water and then blending with water.. same situation..blend it in and it doesnt count but if you bite the tomato pieces and drink your water with it, suddenly it counts?...doesnt make sense to me. |
