Default Calories concern day 4 going 5

hi guys it's day 4 into my induction and i realized on fitday that my calories content is very high. i average 2600-2800 everyday and i'm 130. i exercise like 4-5 times a week on cross fit intense work outs. my average fat content i'm trying to keep it to above 80% because previously i realized too much protein doesnt work well for me. but i'm concerned that my too high caloric intake would once again fail me. should i lower it? but the guidelines say to eat and feel satiated. i really do eat when i feel hungry and follow my hunger nothing excess and it amounts to 2600-2800. what do i do?

Are you losing weight? If you are, then I wouldn't worry about it.

I would also eat more than most folks. I have a big appetite. But here is something that has helped me. Rather than eat until I am no longer hungry, I eat a normal single serving dinner and wait half an hour. It takes your head 20 minutes to figure out your stomach is full so if I ate til I wasn't hungry I would be eating a good 15 minutes past when I am truly satiated. By waiting I now know whether I really am still hungry because I give my brain time to get the message.

well... last night when i measured, i think i've put on something like 1.5lbs. i felt extremely disappointed... i've no issues with sugar/flour/bread/rice stuff. so for me it's not any of these cravings, maybe it's just my caloric intake or portions. and partially it might be because of muscle mass too.

but anyway, i'm going to try to lower my calories a little and then eat smaller meals for the next 4-5 days and see if i feel a difference. i also tend to snack at night on an egg and some butter because i feel hungry. i might cut it out too though it's kinda hard and miserable to go hungry.

just feeling a little tired of trying a bit too hard. before i started doing more intensive workouts and being on atkins, i was only 120 (some 3 months ago). now i'm 130 and it seems like the scale is going up. too much protein/fat i guess that must be the only reason cause i do feel a bit bigger instead of a bit smaller.

i'll get more accuracy on my weight after my tom comes.

if the workout is a new to you one then you will be holding fluids that will add scale weight pounds.

Concnetrat on your foods when you eat and after you have eatten 1/2 your serving stop and ask yourself if you are still hungry. if so eat 1/2 the remaining and stop again. repeat until you feel your hunger is satisfied even if you got food on the plate, room in your belly, and carbs in your budget.

Stretch receptors in the belly have nothing to do with feeding hunger as we can stimulate them just by drinking a supersized glass of water so never rely on fullness as your determination of have you feed your hunger.

I know during induction several times I was "starving" as I was fixing breakfast and sat down to a big veggie omlette with some bacon on the side. I ate a few bites of the omlette got interupted and grabbed a piece of bacon as I went to deal with the family emergency. When i returned to finish my breakfast realized i was not hungry and even though the foods were legal, I definetly had room for it I had to put it away till I got hungry later. I called those my ah ha Atkins moments when I learned how very lettle amount of actual food was needed to satisfy my hunger and why atkins feeding the hunger and stopping would allow me to lose weight.

Many people post that they experience a scales gain as they approach that 'time of the month', so maybe this is happening to you.
