Default Help I have Fallen and I can't get up!

Well.. the truth is I think I can get up. I jumped off the Atkins wagon and have gained almost 20lbs back.I quit smoking. :yikes So here I am. Willing to restart... Willing to change my relationship with food. Willing to drink my water. Willing to give up coffee. Willing to only eat what is on the list. Willing to exercise. I did jog a mile yesterday(have never in my life done that)
okay. here we go... wheeeeee

Hi Flannery :wave

Welcome aboard!

You and I have a few things in common - I did Atkins a few years ago, lost forty pounds wandered off track gained it all back plus an additional thirty to keep it company.

We all fall sometimes - it's getting back up that counts.

How great that you quit smoking! I put out my last cigarette of a three pack a day thirty year habit just four weeks ago today, so believe me I know what it took and I applaud your success.

With a copy of the most recent 2002 version of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution in hand, known around here as DANDR, a strict "by the book" induction and that wonderful determined attitude you have - you're certain to succeed.

Atkins will give you the tools you need to reinvent, transform and improve your health on every possible conceivable level, all you have to do is stay the course - it's that easy.

Hello to all. Thanks for your kind words I am having a really hard time getting back up and doing this thing. I am starting agian!!!! I thought starting again on a Tuesday was more refreshing that a Monday. Besides on Monday I still had some carb laden crap to eat.
Why is it that the start of a "diet" or "WOL" makes me want to binge?
Why is it that I resist the "WOL" that had worked so well for me?
Why do I expect perfection and when I fall short I give up?
I don't want to give up. I am tired of feeling like a sugar addict.

Hi Flannery,
We are in this together. I am an Atkins addict and lost 40 lbs also in 99 and kept it off for quite some time until last year. It started creeping back on and I went totally crazy and gained it and then some back. I am so disappointed in myself. What also tears me up is other people's reactions. It's like, "I knew you would gain it back on that diet!" I am going to prove them wrong and lose it again! I am starting this week at 180 (up from 130 at my Atkins lowest).

We can do this!!!!

Other peoples reactions. Oh Boy... do I know that one. I am trying not to let it bother me. I think that adopting a new attitude about myself and not reacting to what others think of me will be an important part of this "WOL" for me.
You know what. Forget about others for now(telling myself this too) I have got your back on this Daisy. :yes
I am thinking that I am my own enemy sometimes. Need to work on that.
