Default Day seven - Rapid weight loss

Hello,

I am doing great on Atkins.... I am sticking to the way of eating and have not cheated once. I am never hungry anymore urplequ: .....I have to remind my self to eat at breakfast and lunch.

I am concerned about the about the weight I have lost. It seems like too much to fast. 20 lbs in seven days! I am happy about it but I also don't want to harm my body.

I have increased my activity level by doing mall walking which is fun because I window shop at the same time but other than that I have just been doing housework and lifting ten pound weights at night with my husband.

I went to the doctor and got me a blood workup and everything came back great. My doctor is please to see me finally shed some pounds and she told me to continue doing what I am doing? I guess I am just wondering if there are others who have lost weight so fast during induction.

Default Sounds Great!

Doesn't it feel great to lose 20 lbs in no time flat??? I thought the same thing, when i first started trying to lose weight. I was losing 2-3lbs a day for almost 2 weeks in a row!!!! Eventually that stopped and my body started catching up in inches :yes. Once it was caught up, I started losing the lbs again, and it's been that way ever since.

WTG!! :joy

Yeah that is pretty cool, it is probably water loss. Way to go, keep us posted, I would be interested to see how your weight loss continues.

So, you have 191 pounds to lose altogether, right?

A person can expect to lose 5 to 10% of their desired amount in the first two weeks of Induction.

Generally, people seem to lose the most of that 5or10% in the first week, so I'd say you are about right on target.

Read this, and I'll bet it'll set your mind at ease. :yes

Did you ever see the show biggest loser? They were under doctors supervision and some of them lost 22lbs the first week. Some continued to lose 8-10 pounds a week after that. They say most of it is water weight but then again I am not a doctor. Good going.
