| When you are hungry eat. Try something with higher fat, like an egg cooked in butter. The diet coke can cause cravings or make them worse. You should be drinking large amounts of water.

| Hi Nonnie, :wave There's absolutely no reason for to be hungry on Atkins - ever. That's one of the glorious aspects about Atkins, no tiny portions, no starving yourself, no counting calories. You can enjoy wonderful, delicious food and plenty of it. Adding extra fat in the form of butter and olive oil is always a wise move and helps you to feel fuller longer. As for the diet coke - that's a definite nono. Diet coke containes Aspartame an artificial sweetener that causes slow weight loss and stalls, stick to water if you have to have a soft drink make sure it's sweetened with Splenda and remember to count it as one carb. But in my view if you can reach for a soda you can reach for water, I don't have to tell you which one is better for you and which one will help you get the weight off - you already know. Peter |

| Take a moment and read this sticky (actually, read all the sticky's in the forums you go to :yes ) http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ic.php?t=66389 This is about the effect of artificial sweeteners on your body. As the others mentioned, there's absolutely no reason why you should be hungry on Atkins! If all you had for breakfast was cheese and a diet coke, I have to ask you if you've read Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR for short, version 2002 or newer)? It's very important that you know exactly what you are doing (and why!) in order for you to achieve the most success you can. :yes |
