| bacon is usually cured with sugar so you want to read the label and the ingredients. There are places you can get sugar-free bacon though. |

| Yes i have the 0carb bacon, however i didnt know if there was a limit to its intake in a day. Not that i think i would eat that much bacon but its nice for breakfast and perhaps crumpled or broken up in a salad. T

| You should know that even 0-carb bacon might not be technically "absolute zero". On the upside, any processed foods should be kept at a minimum, so maybe hold yourself to a serving of bacon per day until you know how it affects your way of eating and loss.

| If you're eating a lot of bacon, watch for the sodium content, it may cause you to retain water. Maybe drink extra water to help flush your system. |

| When I buy my bacon, and I love my bacon, I buy it from a local market. I dont mean super market, I mean an actually meat market, and they know what is in the bacon because they butcher their own pigs, so the man at the meat market can be of great help in telling you what is in your bacon. I do prefer slab bacon. They are thick sliced, and they dont shrink in the pan, I find that store bought shrink quite a bit, then you wonder what you really bought. Hope that helps Holly :wave

| Many bacons do contain sugar, including the ones that list 0 carbs in the nutritional info (read the ingredients and you'll usually see "dextrose" on it). That's why if you eat bacon, be mindful of the serving size listed on the package. Generally, the nutritional information is correct for the listed serving size. If you eat over that amount, you should start counting carbs--at least 1 carb for every addition serving. So if your bacon has a serving size of 1 slice at "0" carbs but dextrose is on the ingredients list, if you eat 2 slices, you should count that as 1 or 2 net carbs---just to cover for any hidden carbs.
