Hello - it's going to get better if you stick to it, I promise!

You have done so well to get to day 6, don't end up hurting yourself by
making a small mistake :nono . It's heartbreaking!

You should not eat any youghurts, atkins or otherwise at this stage. One thing will lead to another, and it does I can promise you that.

What I felt like you are at the moment, I used single cream with hot water and a sweetener, eventually dropped the sweetener and now very rarley
bother with it at all. It's sounds horrid but it was legal and it worked!

You will not be staying on a clean induction if you eat your youghurts, additionally it will not support you in losing the desire for the sweet taste.

I hope you have not already had them!!

Stay clean, you'll be happier for it :hug

Hello!
I am on day six today too, and Sally is right. You would be heart broken if you cheated and undid all of your hard work over the past week. I know I would be. No you shouldnt eat them, I hope you havent done so already. If you go to the recepie section and I know there is atleast a few "legal" yogurt recipies there. I cant remember if they use sour cream or cream cheese, but all the reviews say they are great. And I love yogurt, so I wouldnt tell you somthing wrong about them. I used to eat two a day. MMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, but I dont really miss sweets and starchs anymore, and for me that is one he** of an accomplishment. But anywho, drudge through it, trust me you will thank yourself in the long run.

Holly :hug

DESPERATE NONNIE...
There is no reason to be hungry on the Atkins Diet. If you are hungry, eat a high fat snack, like cheese or tuna and mayo. The fat is what helps stave off the hunger between meals.

Also make sure you aren't mistaking hunger for thirst. So if you are hungry between meals, drink a glass or two of water and wait for 30 minutes. If the hunger is gone, then you were probably thirsty. If the hunger is still there, eat a high fat snack.

As for the loss of appetite, that's one of the most beautiful features of this diet. You aren't hungry; you don't want to eat anything because you aren't feeling hunger.

Atkins yogurts...nope sorry, they are appropriately added during OWL. Again, you should try eating a high fat snack. The yogurts are relatively lower in fat than an ounce of cheese or tuna and mayo or a boiled egg. Their lower fat content won't satisfy physical hunger, maybe it might satisfy mental hunger, but if eating too much of the wrong things is the reason you are fat, you might want to re-examine your former eating habits and develop new, health-promoting ones.

Hi Nonnie,

We've been through this before kiddo so I'll just keep telling you - there is no reason to be hungry on Atkins - ever.

If you had printed out and understand the acceptable food list you would see all the wonderful meats, cheeses, and veggies all of which are safe and fine for induction.

The Yogurt you bought is not.

Aside from not filling you up, it'll knock you out of Ketosis and make your cravings worse.

As in my last post to you, eat plenty of protein with lots of healthy fats like mayo, butter and olive oil. Roast chicken, steak, hamburger, buffalo wings..your options are endless.

Noonie, This is why you need to read the book, by not doing so your squeaking by on misinformation and the advice of others. And as knowledgeable as some of us are none of us are a replacement for Dr. Atkins and his book Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution.

If you had read the book you would know almost instinctively what you can eat, why you need to eat and how to break your cravings.

Without the book? you'll fail - period.

So again, My best recommendation to you is pick up a copy of the book and really read it. Stock up your fridge with Induction friendly foods and eat till your satisfied.

Atkins Amiga!! When you have those temptations lurking and part of your mind starts to intellectualized whats going on and tells you to get out of the kitchen, instead of keeping your thoughts inside your head try to say them out loud! then you can gain control and insight to the situation...you are less likely to be eating something "bad" when you are saying out loud " this is not what i should be eating, and now i am setting myself back 3 days!" you know what to do and have all the tools, keep Perspective and take each momoment as it comes.... 145 here you come!

Default You have come far

You have not come this far to give up now! Don't give in the cravings. You have to be strong, I know it is hard now but think of the benefits later on :yes
