I don't eat them during induction. They are a really high calorie, high sodium, low nutrient snack. It's really easy to get carried away with those and down a whole bag. If you are anything like me, then the calories in a whole bag of pork rinds will effect your weight loss. I've found that if I don't keep calories under 1,800 I stop losing weight completely. Calories don't necessarily need to be counted, but it is easy to go overboard and stall weight loss when snacking on things like pork rinds.
I haven't eaten them this time but I did last time with no bad effects. I've used them as breading on my fried chicken strips and my string cheese (to make mozerella sticks) to add crunch. Only the plain ones though, haven't found any seasoned ones without sugar here.
Pork rinds are allowed on induction, as long as they are plain or have no sugar in the ingredients. Dr. A did say once to keep the amount to a cup or so--that's not in the book. As with anything, you should control how much you eat. This is an all-you-NEED-to-eat diet, not an all-you-CAN-eat diet. Pork rinds are higher fat, so they are filling, and they crunch, so you won't be as tempted to go for the chips. Scooping up dips with a crunchy pork rind tastes like cheating.
Is the ginger ale sweetened with Splenda? Remember, you are only allowed three servings of any artificial sweeteners a day. You would be better served if you spend the two weeks of induction getting rid of the sweet tooth. After you forego all sweets for a while, when you have clean taste buds, even lettuce tastes sweet.
Induction should be as much about re-training taste buds as it is losing weight.

i'm on indction right now and i do eat pork rinds i made a creamy parm spinach and artichoke dip for pork rinds and veggies, also i make ceral out of pork rinds i know weird but its good lol i aldo used as breading to next i want to melt some cheese and make them liek nachos i find the more possiblys i can make the less temped i am to cheat and just for me thinking of all the possibalys all in its own helps me not to cheat as well salsa dip and pork rinds is also good to far as diet pop goes I HATE HATE HATE HATE water hate it so i do drink diet pop and flavored water or crystal light i know not suspost to have to much but i have to do one thing at a time or else i make fake iced coffees one thing i did notice with diet pop u want to drink it by the case i could drink 1 normal pop and be fine not with diet i'm always more thirstyer afterwards
